Here at Broadmoor RV, we recommend that you plan ahead when purchasing your RV so that you have enough sleeping room for everyone you plan to bring. However, sometimes circumstances beyond your control force you to adapt. Perhaps you decided at the last minute to bring a family friend along with you on the trip. Regardless, here are a few easy ways to expand your RV’s sleeping capacity without breaking the bank.

Murphy Beds

Murphy beds fold up into the wall when not in use to save interior space. With this option, you can get any size of bed that you want so long as it fits the dimensions of your RV. This option is also great if you are worried about creating an eyesore.

Hammocks

By setting a hammock up inside your RV, you can enjoy an extra bed that is protected from the elements while still being easy to put up and take down. The only real thing you will have to worry about is making sure that the hammock is well-supported and secured.

Cab Bed

Some RV models have extra space in an overhang above the cab, and many people like to use this space as a sleeping berth. You can do anything from simply putting down a sleeping bag to adding a small mattress.

Collapsible Bunks

Collapsible bunk beds can essentially provide two beds while only taking up one cot’s worth of space when they are folded up. They are also easy to move, allowing you to relocate them as needed.

Air Mattress

Air mattresses are one of the oldest and most popular methods of adding sleeping space to an RV, and for good reason. Not only are they simple and cost-effective, they are also extremely easy to set up and remove.
